Spider Murphy Continuum........August 14th, 2010  

This summer I've been able to produce 65 songs for you..........The styles of these

songs vary,mainly because I get bored singing & playing in one bag for long periods of

time............This confuses some fans of mine, but I don't care because I'm having a

Jumpin' Jack Gas playing &  recording with some pretty super-incredible talented

musicians............Performing jazz standards with cats like Bobby Gordon one minute,

then recording Hill Billy tunes down in Mississippi with R&B legends like Skip

Easterling & Mississippi Chris Sharp, then jammin' old timey music in Louisiana with

 my friends The Petty Bones keeps my chops sharp & my brain is burnin'

to get out there & do more.....a lot more..........

My goal is to record another 35  ORIGINAL songs before the end of the year and

adding them to these that are finished...............I feel really good about  

rounding this project out to an even 100 songs.............With all the help I've gotten

with feedback from all my friends & my fans from  around  the world as this project has

been unfolding and the inspiration from all the good folks who have been downloading

these songs,I have been focusing on writing  and recording these final 35 originals all

from suggestions & those of you who told me that what I'm doing simply makes them

feel good.............I'm trying to finish it by the end of  this December  ............

 THE         NORTH       END      RULES......


August 20th, 2010 ( Friday I think)    Hey everybody....it looks like the North End of          

the Springs is now the happening spot ......check this out......Grand opening for one of the coolest          

spots on the north end...........It's called Brewer's Republic at 112 North Nevada          

( right across from City Hall ) ......check out their new website.....www.brewersrepublic.com........          

We're talkin' locally roasted coffee's &     not just a brewery...............

...... it's a BREWER'S REPUBLIC.........I am gonna love this place....          

I checked out the archeo-chrono-illogical photo montage that this venue                    

is morphing thru, and these three guys who are opening it up to          

the public............let me tell you, are seriously bustin' their balls........       

 I think I am going to write up a micro-beer drinkin' patriotic anthem and call it                   

"The Republic" ............they have  built an authentic "Door" bar that is          

very reminiscent of some of the "Door" bars that I drank & played in down          

in the French Quarter.....I got to study them "Doors" up real close some

nights..............................Cie La Vie!!

The Grand opening is this Friday August 27th and the party goes straight               

thru Saturday..........Oh yeah, I'll be there playin' for ya from 9 PM til ???

Oh YEAHHHHH.....          

I'm giggin' steady Tuesdays also at the North End Diner........          

on the corner of Fillmore & Hancock..........Jackie has a smiling crew          

of people workin' for her over there, they seriously make me feel like           

they's got a family thang goin' on and that feels good....................          

good for the digestion too........I start clearin' my pipes out at about

5:30 pm over there......Oh yeah, and the head chef over there is good friends            

with Phil & Dharma from up my neck of the woods.... This guy cooks over          

at the Broadmoor for his day job.......I am like really startin' to dig these

North Enders a lot..............
